Christian's 50cent music corner

Christian likes spending time in search of new tunes for his ipod.  He recently came across an album you have to hear...especially you acapella fans...the Vienna Boys Choir came out with a pop alum--seriously!!  They sings song like, "Burning Down the House," "Eternal Flame," "Nothing Else Matters (Metallica)," "Nothing Compares to You", "Message in a Bottle," "My Heart Will Go On," etc.  These are some of our personal favorites.  Get on itunes and check out "The Vienna Boys Choir Goes Pop."  You may have listen to it really late at night in order to find it as funny as we did.  Sorry I don't know how to do a link or put the music on my blog, maybe someday!

How to fish in the city

We went fishing near our home (less than 3 minutes away)  with Grandpa Jerry.  Sydney wore her helmet -just in case the fish fell on her head.  A lounge chair is a must because it gets really boring waiting for fish to bite our strange not-wormy fish food. We didn't catch any fish, but it was a beautiful 70 degrees day.  Winter is the perfect time to visit Arizona--look at what you are missing, come and visit!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We rang in the new year "Syphus-style"  (meaning we stayed up way late, although no house repairs were made, just playing games)  Jill didn't quite make it until midnight she fell asleep on the floor around 10 pm -- her stay-up-late gene may be dormant.  We went over to my cousin Nathan and Whitny's house and they have 5 boys, my girls love it there!  Jill wants to marry Wesley (their #3 boy), but I think we would have to move to Arkansas for that to happen. They played Xbox and Wii all night.  Leah fell asleep in their extra crib (Sarah Syphus:  my cousin is expecting #6, she's not sure if its a boy yet, but the odds are good--does that inspire you to have 2 more?)

Sydney loved staying up until almost 1am.  We ate chocolate fondue, thanks to Emilary for the fondue pot from last year--we love it.  We drank our fake champagne and made lots of noise outside.
We miss you all and wish you the best during this upcoming year!  HAPPY 2009!!
