Purple Barbie Shoes and Happines

Leah has discovered being "girly."

She wants to wear these purple barbie shoes and mommy's purse everywhere.

She's got the look.

Phoenix Children's Museum

Yeah, I know.  It's either feast or famine with my blog.  Oh, well.  We loved the Children's museum!  They had a couple of rooms just for age 3 and younger--Leah was in heaven.
Leah and Grandpa Jerry

Sydney up high.

Syd loved the pretend pizza-making area.

Leah in the pretend car wash.

They all took a ride together.

Kicking  back, old school
Jill loved shopping in the pretend food aisle.

No, this isn't a pretend jail... actually, maybe it is.

o pioneer

We traveled to Monticello (Jill calls it Mexico) to see my parents for spring break.  While we were there, we took a little "sight-seeing" trip to Bluff, Utah.  This is a tiny town that was settled by pioneers so many years ago.  We had a great time!

Jill is sitting at the podium of the church house that was rebuilt.

My mom's good friend lives in this old pioneer home.

This is a replica of an old handcart

Leah didn't want to get out of the back of this wagon.

These are the pews in the church.  No falling asleep during church on those things!

The girls really didn't know what a tee pee is for, but they sure liked it.

Outside of the church house, there was a rock that had this quote "We do hard things." Those pioneers sure did!  They put my so-called "hard things" to shame.  They had practically nothing and did whatever "hard thing" the prophet asked them to do.  I've been thinking a lot about that quote and I am so grateful for their examples.

Oscar the Grouch

We were watching Sesame Street today and Oscar the Grouch was doing his grumpy thing.  During his little rant, Jill soberly said, "I like him."  I just thought to myself, that makes a lot of sense.

I took Jill to the eye Dr. last week and amazingly enough, SHE NEEDS GLASSES!  Her eyes are actually worse than Sydney's.  Looks like the Miller/Syphus DNA is not a good mix for eye sight.
Oh, Jill.  Jill is my teacher.  She is teaching me patience. I thought I already had enough lessons in patience, but apparently not.  I was praying to know how to best help her; read a new parenting book, put her in a class, etc.  My only answer was that what she needs is patience.  Well, I'd much rather just put her in some sort of class, but, okay, that is what I will do, show more patience.

If you look closely you can see where Jill wrote her name on Leah's back.

Our Tiny Garden(s)

Christian and the two kids put together two box gardens over two weekends.  The girls are so excited and loved helping dad.  They stay on top of the watering everyday.  They love their garden.

This is Jill with our neighbor Sedona.

Of course, these photos are not in order because knowing how to do that is way over my head.  Maybe you could play a sequencing game to make the blog more exciting.
