A slice of heaven--Newport Beach
We were able to spend a weekend in SoCal at the beach. Newport is one of my favorite places, its just so beautiful. We were able to see Jocelyn and her three little girls, our neighboors from the hood in Pasadena. Then, Hodgie (aka Holly) and G-Dog (aka Grandma DeeDee/Deanne) came to spend the weekend with us. We had a blast!! We went swimming and then to the glorious beach. It was perfect beach weather. Baby Tessa came to see us, too (she brought her parents, too, Allison and Ted). Tessa was not too thrilled to see us, but we loved seeing her. We look forward to making a better first impression in August when we she come to our house to see us. Please like us!!! She is so cute!

Rocky Point
Our trip to Rocky Point was so much fun!!

This is Jill's Baywatch entrance...
We are making ice-cream. The icecream is inside of that little ball and you kick it around for about 10 minutes. It was fun and yummy.
This is Owen, Kiffany's little boy. Owen and Leah like to play "jump on the bed" a lot! Also, they liked to play in the port-a-crib.
Leah thought was "hot-stuff" floating in the little lagoon ...

The first part of June, we left for Rocky Point with my entire family (except the un-originals--Chrisitan & Josue). After we crossed the border, we all got a little lost and my mom's car, which Brandt was driving, narrowly escaped a death-blow (for real) from a large SUV. As my brother was about to make a left-hand turn, the SUV sped up and passed my brother on the left scraping the side of the car and taking off the driver-side mirror. We were so blessed because the accident could have been severe. The driver of the SUV (probably with the drug cartel or a 14 year old, or both) just kept going...We got seperated from my dad and with no cell phone (Cell phones in mexico don't work),we waited at a Circle-K for about 3 hours until we finally found him. Our condo was right on the beach, all day and all night we could hear the sound of waves crashing. The semi-desereted beach was amazing, and the kids finally were able to swim in warm ocean water. Sydney had a blast sea kayaking with my brothers. We cant wait to go again in October, any one else wanna? The down-side to our vacation was the no A/C, the mosquitos, the ants, the little mouse in the kitchen and no Christian. We missed him! Sydney learned how to make limonadas and the girls loved eating fresh-cooked shrimp.
